Billie Jo V. Hamm, LCSW

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, 1999); providing psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults.

Billie Jo completed her Undergraduate Degree (BSW, 1995) at the State University of New York at Buffalo with a concentration in children’s mental health.  She graduated from Barry University; Miami Shores, Florida in 1996 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a wealth of exposure to diversity, different cultures and a wide range of presenting mental health issues.

Billie Jo was employed with Henderson Mental Health Center, Inc. in Broward County, Florida for 11 years.  While employed at Henderson, Billie Jo had the opportunity to provide individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents and families, with varying mental health issues:  ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Divorce, Grief/Loss, Depression, Suicidality, Homicidality, Crisis Intervention, Bipolar, Anger Management, and Anxiety. Additionally, Billie Jo was a Program Director and Supervisor for a Post Crisis Hospitalization Program for over 6 years, providing clinical supervision to Master Leveled Clinicians and Therapists.

Prior to joining Linda Berlin, Psy.D and Psychological Associates in 2006, Billie Jo had some experience in Private Practice working with children and families and parent education through a local church.  In addition, she was a facilitator for pre-marital counseling with a Christian Counseling Base.

Billie Jo is trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy as a Therapist and as a Clinical Supervisor – to assist individuals, families and therapist to work towards solutions using strengths.  Billie Jo has completed 65 hours of training in Infant Mental Health through Nova University.  She is a Florida Department of Health Qualified Supervisor, as well as a provider for trainings in the mental health field.  Some of the trainings that Billie Jo has presented included topics regarding:  conflict resolution, Stress Management, Grief and Loss, Play Therapy, Behavior Modification, and Parent Education Workshops.

Billie Jo resides with her husband and two children in Lake Worth, Florida.
