Kimiko Thoma, M.D.

Dr. Kimiko Thoma joined the practice of Linda Berlin, Psy.D. & Psychological Associates in January, 2008.

Dr. Thoma received both her undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of South Carolina. Dr Thoma completed her internship and residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where she was ultimately awarded the coveted position of Chief Resident of Psychiatry.
 
Dr.Thoma provides medication management for children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and ADHD.
 
Dr. Thoma views the therapeutic relationship as a partnership in which the doctor and patient join forces to work together in establishing and meeting individually tailored goals for treatment. She is rooted in the belief of  encouraging her patients to develop a strong involvement with their medication management. By bringing her personal characteristics of friendliness and warmth to the therapeutic relationship, Dr. Thoma provides an arena of comfort to her patients.
