Marsha Tardivo, LCSWMarsha Tardivo, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has been practicing in the field of social work for over ten years. She obtained her Bachelor of Health Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Florida in 1996. After graduating and obtaining her first position in the field of Social Work, she returned to school to obtain her Master of Social Work degree from Florida International University and graduated in 2000. Marsha became licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2004. Throughout Marsha’s professional career, she has dedicated herself to the well-being of children and families in a variety of settings. This has provided her with an abundance of experience addressing several different individual and family issues. She has been employed in the foster care system, Broward County school system, private adoption agencies, and a community mental health center addressing issues such as mood disorders, anxiety, child abuse/neglect, infertility, adoption issues, attachment difficulties, child behavior issues, parenting skills/education, and family communication problems. Thorough assessments and empathetic, positive listening skills have been at the core of Marsha’s practice philosophy. She focuses on her client’s goals and creates a safe, non-judgmental, client-centered therapeutic environment. Marsha’s ability to connect with and develop nurturing relationships with her clients, and to provide objective insight to the difficulties they are having has proven to be a positive experience for her clients as well as Marsha herself. Marsha joined the practice of Linda Berlin Psy.D. & Psychological Associates in May, 2007 and she looks forward to continuing her work in private practice.
