As a caring, warm professional, she has offered counseling to her patients in the community using a cognitive-behavioral approach and has worked with a myriad of mental disorders including: Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Substance Abuse, Childhood and Adolescent Issues, Bi-Polar Disorders, Addictive Behaviors, Grief and Loss, Couples Conflict, and other family and parenting issues. Her therapy style helps to empower each individual by assisting them to identify faulty thinking patterns, reframing their negative thoughts through their own positive self-talk while learning to develop and encompass new strategies to help them move past their difficulties. She works diligently through goal setting to help her patients by empowering themselves emotionally and cognitively to help them to move forward and live more productive lives. Her therapy style is cognitive based while using some behavioral techniques. She provides day and evening hours to complement her patients’ busy schedules. She works with addictive behaviors, anxiety and depressive issues, as well as works with child, adolescent and adult populations and late life issues. She is able to relate to a wide range of mental health situations as well as assist each individual family to work together during these difficult times of parenting and stress. She has worked with families whose children are involved in high performance sports training and has also dealt with those dealing with grief and loss, Her practice is based on this very strong premise of a healthy body works together with a healthy mind.
